Rebecca Winkelstein joined Jasinski, P.C. after working in the Education Law Practice Group of a major New Jersey law firm.  Prior to that position, Ms. Winkelstein was an Assistant Defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, assigned to the Child Advocacy Unit. In that capacity, she represented hundreds of abused and neglected children in Philadelphia Dependency Court.

Among other things, she appeared in bench trials, drafted and argued motions, prepared trial and appellate briefs, and advised her many clients. Prior to her employment at the Defender Association, Ms. Winkelstein served as a judicial clerk to former New Jersey Supreme Court Associate Justice John E. Wallace, Jr.

Ms. Winkelstein earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003, where she was a member of the College Park Scholars Program. Rebecca graduated from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden in 2007. While at Rutgers, Ms. Winkelstein was an Executive Editor of the Rutgers Law Journal, a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing/Moot Court, and the recipient of the 2007 Reed Smith Pro Bono Award for Clinical Excellence. Ms. Winkelstein also interned for United States District Court Magistrate Judge Ann Marie Donio and externed in the Office of Counsel to the Governor of New Jersey.

Ms. Winkelstein is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
